Upload.
Drop in the raw footage, every take. While it uploads, MagicEdit finds where you speak and where the camera cuts, so Claude starts from the footage, not from a blank timeline.

Ask Claude.
“Cut this down to 40 seconds, use the better take, caption it.” Claude reads every word with its timing, then edits through the same seams the timeline uses. Nothing is chat-only.

The things you are about to ask.
Where is my footage stored?
In your project, in MagicEdit’s storage. Only your account can open it. Delete the project and its footage is deleted with it.
What leaves my account?
The audio goes to OpenAI’s Whisper for the transcript. Speech, camera cuts and framing are measured on MagicEdit’s own servers. When Claude looks at your footage, it sees sampled frames and the transcript through your own Claude account. Nothing else from your footage is sent anywhere.
Which AI does the editing?
Your Claude, in Claude Code or Claude Desktop, with the claude.ai connector next. Claude makes the editing decisions; MagicEdit reads the footage and runs the editor.
Does it cost anything?
Not during the beta. Each account gets 5 GB of footage, and Claude runs on your own Claude account.
What does it export?
Vertical for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, or landscape. H.264, H.265 or ProRes 422, rendered in your browser tab.
Can I still edit by hand?
Yes. It is a full timeline. You and Claude edit the same project, so you can take over at any point and hand it back.
What happens after I request an invite?
We send invites in small batches. When yours is ready you get an email saying so, and you sign in at app.magicedit.id with that address, by a sign-in link or with Google.
